We have a conversation with Hranipex new Customer Service Manager; however, does he look familiar?

What bought you to Hranipex and how long have you worked here?

I was informed of an opportunity to work for Hranipex, and after conversations decided the work/life balance, The chance to learn, and ongoing development opportunities worked well for me. I have been part of the team for 6 years now.

Explain your Hranipex journey so far and the experience you have gained?

I joined Hranipex as an area account manager, looking after the East of England. I continued this for 4 years, learning the industry, products, and applications, our customers were incredibly helpful with this. I learned to troubleshoot issues, how to support my colleagues, found possible product and process improvement areas, and how to better serve our customers. I was then moved into technical product manager and helped launch our new fittings range. This was a huge challenge and has been well received. Logistics, and product knowledge have been difficult, but we are improving every day. After a successful launch, and continued success, I was offered the opportunity to move into the Customer service management role.

With your new Customer Service Manager role, what are you excited to implement?

My main goal is to better serve our customer base and grow our reputation. We have a great team within customer service, with a huge wealth of knowledge and skills. I am passionate about delivering the best service possible to our customers and encouraging our team to showcase this knowledge and their skills. Whether it be recommending differing products, for better results, or advising which products will achieve the desired effect. With additional training and experience, we can positively impact our customers quality, productivity and workflow.

What goals or projects are you most looking forward to tackling in your new position?

I think improving the confidence of the team, with product training and systems/ process knowledge will greatly impact the customer’s experience. Having the team experience firsthand the applications and methods our customers use, along with hands on exposure, will benefit everyone, and they will be more confident when consulting.

With your industry knowledge, what makes Hranipex different to competitors?

The biggest USP that we have at Hranipex, is the service we are offering, and are planning to offer. We know the customers are the key to what we are doing, we know their needs, their requirements, and what their challenges. We regularly speak with customers to ask for feedback on how we can improve for them, and then implement changes across the business when we can. I do believe though, that we can improve this further, and I want Hranipex to be known industry wide as having the gold standard of service.

Where do you see the future of Hranipex?

As we improve and refine our business, I see Hranipex moving into a wider variety of furniture manufacturing products. We already have a wide range of Edgebanding, Adhesives, Cleaners and Components, however there is so much more to the industry. We have the resource, and the people to evolve our business into a one stop shop for furniture manufacturers.

What is your favourite part about being part of the HraniTeam and why?

I enjoy most the atmosphere that surrounds us at Hranipex. Both internally and externally. I feel that everyone can have their say, and everyone makes an impact, team members or customers. The Team at Hranipex are passionate about the products, the customers, and making the difference.

So far, what is your favourite memory at Hranipex?

The first memory that comes to mind is when we moved to our new premises in 2021. We had outgrown the old unit, and it was time for an upgrade! Simon (Managing director) had put in a lot of energy and work into securing the new site, and having it fitted out ready for us. It was a huge logistical challenge to move, if only down the road. The reason though that it is my favourite memory is the fact that the whole team was able to work together on a major goal, we all pulled our weight and worked hard over the course of the move, everyone was so relieved when it was finished, and everyone was excited to be in the new building.

What is your proudest achievement in work and personal life?

One of my proudest work achievements is the success of the fittings portfolio. Although it was completely different to what we had been used to, and the challenges have been constant, We have still managed to prove our products can exceed expectations. I have spent a lot of time educating the team here in the UK, and to see everyone improving and driving the products forward all the time makes me very proud. There is still along way to go, but we are all on the right path.

In my personal life, My wife and I recently completed a large house renovation and extension. It was hard. Juggling kids, dogs, and work, whilst also living on site was very difficult for us all. There was times when I didn’t think I could carry on, and when I thought it was too much. And due to material shortages, labour shortages etc, I ended up completing the majority of the work myself, in the evenings and weekends, even fitting our brand new kitchen a few days before Christmas, ready to host. I had to learn many new skills quickly, and understand a completely new set of regulations. I am proud to show off my work, (well, most of it). It taught me many valuable lessons, and I learnt many new skills. Whenever things seem difficult, or even impossible, I think back to this time, and realise nothing can be as hard as this was.
